Morning report


Nearly finished the treasure ship mechanics. Creating an exit wormhole yesterday was quite fun, playing around with particles, but it's pretty time consuming. Lots of fiddling about with many parameters to get something that looks good. And I really mean many parameters...

I also had the idea of a different level objective where you have to get some cargo items into a wormhole, requiring you to push them while enemies try to blow you and the cargo up. It's that sort of variety in the levels, diverse objectives and level features and ship designs, that'll make ionAXXIA very interesting and fun to play! I'll see about adding that for Iteration 2 seeing as I'm not going to have much enemy variety at first.

Only real problem at the moment is my AI is stupid and the treasure ship flies around in circles instead of heading to the wormhole!
